We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Garden Center Employee to join our team. This position involves assisting customers, maintaining plant inventory, handling material sales, and keeping the garden center and surrounding areas clean, organized, and presentable. 

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with plant selection, mulch, stone, soil, and landscape material purchases. 
• Load mulch, stone, topsoil, and other bulk materials using a mini loader or by hand when needed. 
• Water, care for, and maintain plants, shrubs, flowers, and trees.
• Stock, organize, and display inventory including plants, bagged materials, and seasonal products.
• Operate equipment such as mini loader for loading operations. 
• Keep the yard, staging beds, and sales areas clean, safe, and presentable. 
• Process customer transactions and assist with sales when needed. 
• Receive deliveries and organize incoming inventory.
• Assist with occasional vendor events on weekends. 
• Follow safety procedures and maintain professional customer service standards. 

Qualifications

• Previous garden center, landscaping, nursery, or retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills. 
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. 
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and preform physical labor daily. 
• Experience operating equipment is a plus.
• Valid drivers license preferred. 
• Dependable, Punctual, and team-oriented attitude. 

Schedule 

• Seasonal position to start that may lead into a year-round position depending on company needs. 
• Part Time Position. Must be able to work weekends. 

Pay 

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience, with opportunities for advancement.
• Base rate - $17/hr
